The vector is re-rasterized as you zoom, up to 1600%, so edges stay sharp. Scroll or double-click to zoom, drag to pan.

02

Backgrounds

Switch between transparent, white, warm paper, dark and custom colours, or drop a photo behind the artwork to check contrast.

03

Facts about the file

Canvas size (viewBox), every colour used with how many shapes paint with it, and the outline of any part you click.

Limits

What this tool cannot do

  • Filters, fonts and external references render the way your browser renders them.
  • Animated SVGs play but cannot be scrubbed.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I open an SVG file without Illustrator?

Drop it on this page. The browser renders it, and you can zoom, pan and change the background. Any browser can also open an SVG directly, but without zoom controls or backgrounds.

Why does my SVG look different here than in my editor?

Browsers render standard SVG; editor-only features such as mesh gradients or proprietary filters fall back or disappear. The SVG quality checker lists risks like these.

Can I edit what I see?

Yes. Click a part to recolor, move or hide it, or use the Canvas and Colours panels. Editing is free; sign in to download.
