Free browser tool

Change SVG colours everywhere at once, or one shape at a time.

Drop an SVG and every fill and stroke colour appears as a swatch with a count. Pick a new colour to replace it across the file, click a shape to recolor only that part, or apply a suggested palette in one click.

How recoloring works

01

By colour

Shapes that share a colour are grouped, whether the colour is an attribute, an inline style or inherited from a group. One picker changes them all; Reset brings the original back.

02

By part

Click a shape on the canvas to change just its fill, flatten a gradient to a solid, or edit each gradient stop. Add or change a stroke and set opacity.

03

Palettes

Six suggestions are derived from the file's own colours: cooler, warmer, complement, monochrome, pastel and bold. Neutrals stay untouched. Undo to compare.

Limits

What this tool cannot do

  • Colours defined through CSS classes in a <style> block are listed but cannot be changed individually.
  • Colours inside embedded raster images cannot be changed; vectorize the image first.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I change the colour of an SVG file?

Drop it here, find the colour in the Colours panel and pick a new one. The change applies to every shape that used it. To change a single shape, click it on the canvas instead.

Can I change a gradient?

Yes. Click the shape; each gradient stop gets its own picker, or flatten the gradient to one solid colour.

Will the file still be editable afterwards?

Yes. Only fill and stroke values change; paths, groups and ids stay as they were, so the file opens the same in Illustrator, Figma or Inkscape.
